Symonds promises 1,000 bhp and less downforce for 2026 F1 cars

© XPB  Phillip van Osten 28/03/2024 at 18:4728/03/2024 at 19:49 Formula 1 chief technical officer Pat Symonds has offered his latest insight into the sport’s next generation cars, insisting they will be more challenging to drive thanks to increased horsepower and reduced downforce. Formula 1 will introduce its future regulation platform in 2026, with the wholesale changes including both Grand Prix racing’s chassis rules and power unit specifications.
