Albon: Fluid driver market ‘exciting’, but focus is on Williams

19/03/2024 at 17:3319/03/2024 at 19:44 Alex Albon admits that Formula 1’s whirlwind driver market is “exciting”, with opportunities left and right but the Williams charger is focused first and foremost on his team’s “upward progress”. Formula 1’s silly season kicked off in the wake of Lewis Hamilton's bombshell move to Ferrari for 2025, which opened a vacancy at Mercedes. Albon’s name was immediately thrown into the hat by pundits as a potential Hamilton replacement, but Williams boss Jame Vowles was quick to remind everyone that the Anglo-Thai racer is contracted to the Grove-based outfit until the end of 2025.
