F1 standings: Verstappen pulls clear after disaster for Perez

Article To news overview © XPB Max Verstappen has built even more of an advantage at the top of the Formula 1 World Championship standings following his victory in the Canadian Grand Prix. The Dutchman claimed his sixth win of the 2022 campaign at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, and as such added a further 25 points to his tally, which now stands at 175 points. Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez failed to finish the event due to a mechanical issue, meaning that he remains on the 129 points that he arrived in Montreal with.
