Alpine hoping to find 2022 F1 seats for Zhou and Lundgaard

Alpine are hoping to find Formula 1 seats for academy drivers Guanyu Zhou and Christian Lundgaard in 2022, with both set to compete in F2 once again this season. According to academy programme director Mia Sharizman, they are hopeful of finding a 'solution' for both drivers and will consider them as options for a drive with Alpine, while also being open to talks with other teams on the grid. Fernando Alonso was signed on a two-year deal to partner Esteban Ocon during the 2021 season, while the Frenchman is out of contract at the end of this year.
