Nurburgring Qualifying: Hulkenberg returns, Mercedes duel set to continue

Qualifying for the 2020 Eifel Grand Prix is set to soon get underway, with the late-addition of Nico Hulkenberg the story heading into the session. Deputising for the unwell Lance Stroll, Hulkenberg will drive for the third time this season for Racing Point, having filled-in for Sergio Perez at the British and 70th Anniversary Grands Prix due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. As a result the German will get another chance to end his Formula 1 record 181-race streak without a podium, although he will certainly be hard-pressed to do so having missed practice. That said, it certainly helps him that the rest of the grid has only had an hour's running in FP3, after Friday practice was cancelled...
