Bottas about new Kymi ring: "Hopefully we can race F1 here someday"
Valtteri Bottas says he hopes Formula 1 will one day race on the new circuit in Finland, the 'Kymi ring'. The circuit was to be used for the first time this season in MotoGP, but the coronavirus threw a spanner in the works. The circuit is located some 110 kilometres north of Finland's capital, Helsinki. On 19 August 2019 the Kymi Ring was officially opened with a MotoGP test. This test was held in preparation for the first Grand Prix on the circuit.
