Pierre Gasly has been performing extremely well at AlphaTauri in recent weeks and his chances of returning to Red Bull Racing are increasing by the week, especially since Alexander Albon still hasn't found his feet next to Max Verstappen. Franz Tost, however, does not think a departure from the Frenchman will happen. "He's very motivated. He was like that last year when he came back from Red Bull. He said it felt like coming home to family. I'm afraid we're going to lose him again," Tost said to Motorsport.com. "If so, it means that our team has done well. Otherwise, that wouldn't happen.
