Roy Nissany to get Williams F1 outing in Abu Dhabi tyre test
Roy Nissany will make his official Formula 1 bow during next week’s post-race tyre test in Abu Dhabi. Nissany, 25, will link up with Williams to pilot its FW42 next Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning at the Yas Marina Circuit. Formula 1 is staying on at the venue for two days of running in order to sample Pirelli’s 2020 tyres. Nissany has not raced full-time this year and last season placed 22nd in the Formula 2 championship. The Israeli previously sampled Formula 1 machinery during a private test of Sauber’s 2012-spec car in Valencia five years ago. Nissany is the son of one-time Minardi tester Chanoch.
