Ricciardo calls for shorter GP weekends: 'You can get enough done in two days'

Renault star Daniel Ricciardo has thrown out the idea of having two-day Grand Prix weekends from next year onwards rather than three, especially since the F1 calendar will increase from 21 to 22 races. The grid is currently forced into a two-day weekend because of typhoon Hagibis, with all running on Saturday cancelled because of the hefty storms that are currently raging over the circuit. It could even mean that the result from FP2 could determine the starting grid, with qualifying currently planned for Sunday morning at 10am local time but with threats of it being cancelled ahead of the race, which is four hours later.
