A downbeat Robert Kubica says he'll now have to wait until after the summer break to see if he's able to close the gap to the mid-field like his team-mate George Russell managed to do in the 2019 Hungarian Grand Prix. While Russell narrowly missed out on progressing to Q2 in qualifying for the Hungarian race, going on to finish sixteenth, Kubica assumed his regular position at the rear of the field. During the race Kubica trailed the pack, eventually finishing nineteenth, ahead only of the retired Romain Grosjean, some three laps behind the race winner Lewis Hamilton.
