Wolff: “Constructors’ standings do not tell the full story”

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has admitted that the current standings of the constructors’ championship ‘do not tell the full story’ of reflection of the grid. One-two finishes in both Australia and Bahrain have put Mercedes at the top of the standings, all be it a draw of luck last time out when Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari encountered problems whilst leading. Valtteri Bottas leads teammate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers’ standings by one point courtesy of the extra point given for fastest lap of the race in Australia.
