Christian Horner on proposed four stage qualifying

Christian Horner believes that teams would run out of tyres if qualifying was extended to have a Q4. It has been reported that the idea is being pushed for qualifying to have four sessions but the teams are not happy. Teams are allocated 13 sets of tyres per race weekend and it is thought that Q4 would only be a viable option if the number of tyres was increased.  “What you don’t want to end up with is cars not running in Q4 because there are no tyres left.
