McLaren appoint Andreas Seidl as new boss

McLaren have appointed German Andreas Seidl as the new boss of their Formula 1 team. Seidl has been appointed in the new role of managing director, in the latest change of McLaren's ever-changing management team, aiming to shoot the Woking-based side back up the grid somehow. The 46-year-old has experience with Porsche's World Endurance Championship team, where he was also boss. CEO Zak Brown has confirmed Seidl will join the team "during 2019" but refused to reveal any exact dates. Brown believes Seidl is a "highly capable leader with a track record of success".
