Red Bull did all they could to keep Ricciardo for 2019

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner says that Red Bull tried everything they could to keep Daniel Ricciardo at the team for next season. The Australian surprised the F1 world by announcing he would be jumping to Renault for 2019. The immensely popular Aussie will be in yellow for next season rather than the blue, yellow and red of the energy drinks team, but it is an outcome that took Horner and head of driver development for the team Dr Helmut Marko by surprise.
