Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel have slugged it out for top honours on day one of free practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the Ferrari drive fastest in the morning FP1 session and the Mercedes driver topping the timing screens in the evening FP2 at Yas Marina Circuit. Hamilton was the only driver to dip below the 98 seconds mark with a best time of 1:37.877, o.149 of a second quicker than Vettel in second place.
