Wolff: Mercedes 'emerged stronger' from 2016
– Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says the team has "emerged stronger" from its 2016 campaign but is wary that next season's changes, with new regulations and a change to its driver line-up, will be a test of its character.Mercedes swept to 19 wins and 20 pole positions en-route to claiming both titles for a third successive season, before World Champion Nico Rosberg announced his retirement from the sport.In a message sent to Mercedes' workforce prior to the Christmas period, Wolff recognised the squad's success, but emphasised the challenges it faces moving forwards in Formula 1."2016 has been a remarkable year," Wolff said."Our team has broken records in the...
