Palmer aims to out-qualify Magnussen

Jolyon Palmer is determined to get the jump on Kevin Magnussen come qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix. At a time where Renault are struggling to get close to the top-ten, Palmer's best yardstick is his team-mate Magnussen. However, to date it is the Dane who has had the better of the running. Not only has Magnussen scored all six of the Enstone team's points, but he is also their best driver in qualifying. In ten races Palmer has only twice qualified ahead of his team-mate, one of which was Canada where Magnussen did not take part in qualifying after crashing in FP3.
