Lewis Hamilton accepts blame for poor qualifying result and crash

Lewis Hamilton has accepted the blame for his poor qualifying session which saw him run wide several times before eventually crashing out in the final top-ten shoot-out, leaving him tenth on the grid. The Mercedes driver looked to have the mesaure of the field on Friday as he topped both practice sessions and was quickest on Saturday morning in final practice. However come qualifying, he seemed to struggle, admitting he 'wasn't on it'. 'Not too much [to say], I just wasn’t on it today,' the Briton said, denying the low sun caught him out as it appeared to blind him from the onboard shot.
