Drivers admit to safety concerns about Baku Circuit

European Grand Prix – Several drivers have come forward to express doubts about the level of safety at the new Baku City Circuit. The new venue in Azerbaijan, used for the first time in F1 this weekend, sees drivers take on the longest straight on the calendar at 2.2 kilometres, as well as a sequence of corners that are barely wider than their cars at the mid section of the track. With some run-off areas appearing quite small for the speeds involved, Nico Rosberg told reporters on Thursday that he had his doubts: 'A little bit of a concern with those run-offs – two or three that are really not looking good'.
