Newey poised to begin work on 2017 Red Bull F1 car
Red Bull expects Formula 1 engineering legend Adrian Newey to imminently start focussing his efforts on its 2017 car, now that the regulations have been defined and his America's Cup work is done. Newey has stepped back from a full-time role with the Formula 1 team so he could get involved in other design projects. That has included the recently announced Aston Martin hypercar, plus work on an America's Cup yacht design for Ben Ainslie's effort. With F1's 2017 car regulations having now been set in stone, Red Bull boss Christian Horner says Newey will soon get heavily involved in the project even if he will not be returning wholly to grand prix racing. “Adrian will be splitting his time,...
