Rosberg looking to cut gap to Hamilton

Nico Rosberg says he is looking to reduce the gap to team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship, after securing pole position for the Russian Grand Prix. The German driver is currently 48 points behind Hamilton in the standings and led the way through every segment of qualifying. His first run in Q3, a 1:37.133, proved to be good enough for first place. With Hamilton in second place on the grid, Mercedes looks set to secure the constructors' title on Sunday at the Sochi Autodrom. The team needs to out-score Ferrari by three points.
