Formula 1 to boost engine noise for 2016

– Formula 1 cars will feature modified exhausts – in a bid to boost sound levels – from the 2016 season, as part of a series of changes outlined by governing body the FIA.The design tweak, which has been discussed for some time, was confirmed following the latest meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in Paris on Wednesday."For 2016, all cars must have a separate exhaust wastegate tailpipe through which all and only wastegate exhaust gases must pass," read a statement issued by the FIA."This measure has been undertaken to increase the noise of the cars and will not have any significant effect on power or emissions."There are also plans for a track limits...
