Rosberg engine problem caused by cooling system leak

Mercedes has confirmed that the problem with Nico Rosberg's new engine was a leak in the cooling system, which contaminated the power unit. Ahead of qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix, the team found an anomaly with Rosberg's new Monza-spec engine and was forced to change back to an old unit. The engine that was fitted to his W06 for qualifying was five races old. Rosberg felt he was a little down on power compared to his team-mate and was fourth fastest in the final session. After an investigation, Mercedes confirmed in a series of Twitter posts that a leak in the cooling system contaminated the power unit and will be checked to see if it can be used again.
