Hamilton tops second session at Monza
Mercedes AMG Petronas World Champion Lewis Hamilton continued to set the pace during the second practice session for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Hamilton moved to the front with a time of 1:24.279 on the Option tyres to end the session 0.021s faster than Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg. The pair had earlier traded quickest times on the Prime tyres before Hamilton edged narrowly clear on the Option compound. Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was again third on the time sheets, 0.759s behind Hamilton, with the German only marginally faster on Option tyres than the Mercedes driver on Primes.
