More issues scupper Alonso s top six target

Fernando Alonso concedes he will not be challenging for his first points of the season in the Monaco Grand Prix after suspected electrical issues left him floundering during Q2. The Spaniard had set his sights on a first top ten qualifying result of the season in the McLaren-Honda, even going as far as suggesting 'sixth, seventh and eighth' were possible for both himself and team-mate Jenson Button. However, Alonso never got the chance to challenge when his MP4-30 cried enough at the start of his quick lap, the two-time champion left bottom of the Q2 reckoning in 15th. “The problem I think is something electrical because the car completely switched off in the middle of the straight,”...
