Mick Schumacher launches F4 career

All eyes will be on the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben this weekend as Mick Schumacher's Formula 4 career gets underway in Germany. The 16-year-old son of seven-time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher has signed with Van Amersfoort Racing team to contest Europe's ADAC Formula 4. Despite showing impressive pace in Friday's practices, he will line-up 19th on the 38-strong grid for Saturday's opening race while on Sunday there are two events. And although the family name carries with it a great deal of expectation, managing director Rob Niessink believes the 'talent' and 'intelligence' are there.
