Melbourne FP3: Hamilton tops as Vettel splits Mercedes duo

If FP3 is anything to go by the stage is set for an intriguing qualifying session for the season opening Australian Grand Prix qualifying session with Mercedes still the obvious team to beat, but Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari appear to have emerged as the ones most likely to challenge the Silver Arrows in Melbourne, and perhaps beyond. With Nico Rosberg unbeatable on Friday, Mercedes made it three out of three when Hamilton topped the one hour session at Albert Park with the best time of the weekend – 1:27.867 – which was almost a full second up on Rosberg in third.
