Mercedes DTM & F1 reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein has been confirmed as driving the Force India during the upcoming Barcelona test. Force India, having missed the first pre-season test in Jerez due to the VJM08 not being ready amidst rumours of financial troubles, are in Barcelona for this weekend's test. However, they will be running last year's VJM07 over the next four days, due to the same issue. Rumours at the start of this week suggested that the financial problems extended to an inability to pay off debt owed to engine supplier Mercedes, and part of the solution to fixing this would be to run Mercedes' reserve driver in a test.
