McLaren deny Sainz reports

Rally legend Carlos Sainz with son Carlos Sainz Junior McLaren denied reports the Red Bull-backed Spanish youngster Carlos Sainz jr is a dark horse candidate to join his countryman Fernando Alonso at the team in 2015. 'Media reports claiming that Carlos Sainz is being considered by McLaren for a race seat in 2015 are incorrect,' said a McLaren spokesman. The Spanish sports daily AS, however, insists there is some truth to the report, adding that Sainz would be backed by the potential sponsor Movistar and could be signed as a test driver.
