Fernandes sells Caterham GP2 team

Tony Fernandes Malaysian entrepreneur Tony Fernandes has completed his exit from top open-wheeler racing by selling his Caterham-branded GP2 team. Fernandes has sold his Leafield-based Formula 1 team to a little known group of Swiss-Middle Eastern investors, led by Colin Kolles, earlier this year. A statement said Caterham's GP2 team has now been sold to the GP3 outfit Status, owned by Teddy Yip, whose namesake and father was the Macau F3 chief and Formula 1 team owner.
