Murray Walker diagnosed with cancer
Legendary Formula 1 commentator Murray Walker has been diagnosed with cancer. The 89-year-old told the BBC that he has a form of lymphatic system cancer, but says it has been caught "incredibly early" and is hopeful of a successful treatment phase. "They've caught it incredibly early," said Walker, who retired from full-time commentary in 2001. "It's treatable, the doctors say my condition is mild and I'm very hopeful." Walker, whose illness was picked up during tests after breaking his pelvis in a recent fall, will have chemotherapy in the coming months in a bid to combat the disease, and has cancelled his plans to attend the British Grand Prix at Silverstone...
