Williams to supply Formula E battery systems

Williams have today announced that they will supply the newly-created Formula E with battery systems for its debut season in 2014, seeing the team continue its support of junior formulae. The team had previously worked with MotorSport Vision in designing Formula Two cars, and also led the way in innovative technology by developing an early version of the KERS system used in Formula One. In a statement, the team said: 'Williams is pleased to announce that Williams Advanced Engineering, the division of the Williams group that commercialises Formula One based technologies, is to partner with Spark Racing Technology to design and assemble a battery system for the 42 cars that will be used in...
