Whitmarsh: Frankly the car is not fast enough

24 May, 2013 Martin Whitmarsh gives an honest assessment of his team's performance thus far in 2013 McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh has admitted that his team's 2013 car is not fast enough, and acknowledges that they were too ambitious with the MP4-28 project which has been a disappointment in the first five races of the season, with no end apparent. Speaking to the official F1 website Whitmarsh said, 'Frankly the car is not fast enough. With the benefit of hindsight we were too ambitious last year.
