Pirelli warns it could quit over contract

Pirelli has threatened to quit as Formula 1's tyre supplier if a new contract for the 2014 season is not promptly agreed, with teams yet to unanimously agree on full details as the sport prepares to enter its new turbocharged V6 engine era. With a large amount of design, production and testing time a necessity for the Italian manufacturer prior to the major car changes, Motorsport Director Paul Hembery explained to reporters in Monte-Carlo that the situation is has become 'ludicrous'.
