Mercedes duo remain cautious
Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton have sought to quell any expectation that high-flying Mercedes could dominate this weekend after the German driver topped both of Thursday's practice sessions.A W04 has sat on pole position for each of the last three races and the Mercedes' formidable single-lap pace was underlined once again around the streets of Monte Carlo as Rosberg set the fastest times in both Practice One and Practice Two. Ominously, not only did Lewis Hamilton finish the day second in the standings in the sister W04 but Fernando Alonso was over four-tenths adrift of Rosberg's pace-setting time, leaving Mercedes odds-on favourites to claim a fourth consecutive pole.
