Honda confirm Formula One comeback with McLaren

Honda have formally confirmed their return to Formula One in a press conference today. The Japanese manufacturer last competed in the sport in 2008, supplying engines and running with its own works team, but opted to withdraw due to the ensuing global financial crisis putting a strain on their finances. However, five years later, they have confirmed that they will be returning to Formula One as an engine manufacturer, with McLaren signing up as their first customer team.
