Wolff says ‘emotional’ Vasseur misunderstood Ferrari remarks

The simmering war of words between Mercedes and Ferrari took another twist at Silverstone, with Toto Wolff insisting Fred Vasseur allowed emotion to misinterpret his recent remarks about Ferrari's relentless development programme. What began as an observation about the Scuderia's aggressive upgrade schedule has snowballed into a heated squabble after Vasseur accused his Mercedes counterpart of implying Ferrari was flirting with the cost cap.
