F1: British Grand Prix: Preview - Alpine
BWT Alpine Formula One Team heads home to Silverstone this weekend for the 2026 British Grand Prix, Round Nine of the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship season, and the fourth Sprint event of the year. Silverstone is one of the sport's most iconic venues and is the birthplace of the world championship having hosted Formula One's first ever event in 1950. Through the past 76 years, Silverstone has grown and evolved but remains a staple on the calendar. Back then eight corners formed the track, some of which remain today on the now 18-turn course, including Woodcote, Copse, Maggots, Becketts and Stowe.
