Barcelona GP: Russell comfortably tops final practice

George Russell laid down a strong marker ahead of qualifying for the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, topping the timesheets in Saturday’s final practice session, one that was interrupted by a red flag and ended in frustration for Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli. As is often the case in FP3, teams were in no rush to hit the track in the opening stages, with only Cadillac and Audi’s Nico Hulkenberg venturing out early in the sweltering 32-degree conditions.
