F1: Ben Sulayem lauds engine agreement
FIA president, Mohammed ben Sulayem has praised all involved following agreement on changes to the engine rules for 2027 and 2028. Following weeks of discussions, agreement was finally reached between the teams and power unit manufacturers, along with FOM and the sport's governing body. While Ben Sulayem's push for a return to V8s from as early as 2030 is likely to face much stiffer opposition, for now all involved have agreed on changes aimed at improving the racing whilst sticking to the sustainability targets that brought the likes of Audi and Ford into the sport.
