Max Verstappen has been an unstoppable force in Formula 1 for years now. After taking his first title in 2021 after a titanic battle with Lewis Hamilton, the Dutchman has been in a different league, easily topping the 2022 and 2023 drivers' standings to make him a three-time world champion. He has broken many records along the way, and with the Miami Grand Prix coming up this weekend, he will also look to continue his dominance in the USA.

Verstappen looking for seven USA wins in a row

2023 saw Verstappen earn 19 victories, only missing three across the whole season, with ten of those wins coming consecutively, breaking the record for the most consecutive wins in Formula 1 history.

That run started with a win at the Miami Grand Prix last year, one of six consecutive victories that Verstappen has had in the USA. Now, as the season enters Miami for the third time since its inclusion in 2022, the three-time World Champion will be looking to make it seven consecutive race victories in the United States.

That race in Miami last year highlighted the dominance of Verstappen and his RB19, taking the top step of the podium after starting the race from P9, finishing five seconds clear of his teammate Sergio Perez.

Since Verstappen won the 2021 United States Grand Prix around the Circuit of The Americas, he has been undefeated in the United States, winning in 2022 at the Miami Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix, which he also did in 2023, as well as taking victory at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Now, in 2024, Verstappen already has a 25-point lead over Perez in the drivers' standings, and the Dutchman will be looking to increase that lead with a win in Miami. Victory in Miami would be Verstappen's fifth of the 2024 season, and it would continue his dominance in the USA and make it seven races unbeaten.
