Christian Horner has asserted that Red Bull bringing power unit production in house has been a "very bold" and "very brave" choice, but believes the change in approach will pay off.

With Honda joining forces with Aston Martin for the introduction of new engine regulations in 2026, Red Bull will become a power unit manufacturer. Red Bull Powertrains (RBPT) is entering a strategic partnership with American automotive giant Ford.

For 12 years, F1 appeared to have left behind its dark era when a driver fatality over a grand prix weekend was what former supremo Bernie Ecclestone described as "normal".

During the 1950s, '60s, and '70s, a spectre hung over the sport as numerous drivers lost their lives. As the cars evolved, safety standards, with the machinery and at circuits, failed to keep pace.

The last time I spoke to Christian Horner, I asked him how it feels to have a target on his back. I wanted to know whether he prefers the feeling of being in that position.

Marko reveals further details of Audi's F1 offer to Sainz

Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko has claimed that Carlos Sainz has been made a three-year offer to join Audi from 2025.

Audi will join the Formula 1 grid in 2026, taking over the Sauber-run organisation that currently operates under the Stake name.

Stroll in talks to sell Aston Martin shares

Lawrence Stroll is open to selling a minority stake in his Aston Martin Formula 1 team to an interested party, according to a report.

The Canadian billionaire purchased the Aston Martin squad midway through the 2018 season when it fell into liquidation while running under the name of Force India.
