After mixed conditions in Monaco, there could potentially be more in store for the drivers at the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix.

The event held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is often dry and sunny, and it looks like sunshine is on the cards again in 2023. However, there is also a chance of rain falling during the weekend.

With thanks to our friends at WeerOnline.nl, here's the current weather forecast for the 2023 F1 Spanish Grand Prix.

Sunshine and showers in Barcelona

Conditions look set to be dry when running gets underway on Friday, with plenty of sunshine during the morning.

Showers are forecast to develop in the area as the afternoon progresses, and the chance of these occurring when Free Practice 2 takes place is higher than earlier in the day.

On Saturday and Sunday, there will be sunny conditions in the morning before rain and thunderstorms are predicted to affect the region later on.

There is a possibility that these could hit the track when qualifying and the race take place, with the chance of rainfall on Sunday currently standing at 55 percent.

Despite the risk of showers, temperatures look set to be high in Barcelona. It could reach 26 degrees Celsius and humidity will be around 75 percent.
