Charles Leclerc has nothing to do with Mattia Binotto's departure at Ferrari, according to the usually well-informed Formu1a.uno. It was reportedly those within management who decided to part ways with the team boss.

Just last month, it was revealed that Leclerc and Binotto had not spoken to each other for quite some time. The Italian medium states that Leclerc has been in talks with Ferrari about the mistakes during the Grands Prix, but that he certainly did not push for the team boss to leave.

The Monegasque himself would not have had the power within the team to speak out about Binotto. Moreover, the team's leader brought him to Ferrari in 2019 and he therefore owes a lot to Binotto, so he continued to have respect for him.

Ferrari looking for successor

The formation is said to be busy behind the scenes trying to find a solution for next year. This not only involves a new team boss, but a search for a technical director has also begun. Binotto, after all, held both roles.

Ferrari reportedly has five names on the list, all eligible to take the spot of team boss. For now, it is not yet clear what reorganisation structure the racing stable is adopting, which means it is still guessing what the choice will be, according to the medium.
