Mike Krack is convinced that Aston Martin has the potential to become a successful team. He also believes that they have what it takes to reach podiums and go for wins, if everything goes as they would like. Speaking to Formula1.com He also says he is very much looking forward to the future.

It is not yet a strong season for Aston Martin. The British formation is ninth in the championship, ahead of Williams. Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll are struggling to finish in the points with the green car, despite some major updates.

Krack believes that once everything goes to plan, "success will be the norm" for Aston Martin. "I see a team that is not surprised when it is on the podium and is not surprised when it wins races."

Building a culture of winning

The German hopes to see a point of putting down strong results on the track and also have the ability to believe in himself. "We are talking about building a winning culture. That takes some time and we need to develop a faster car first." The new factory with its own wind tunnel currently being built at Silverstone should help with that, among other things.

Krack continues that the team's journey has only just begun and that there are obstacles along the way. Yet there is no shortage of fighting spirit. "Aston Martin is second to none and is the result of the passion of our people.

He concludes that he is proud to be part of the team and is looking forward to what the future holds. Next season, with the arrival of Fernando Alonso, another world champion will drive alongside Stroll. Signing Alonso for several years would also be a clear signal of the team's intentions to become a winning Formula One team.
