Sebastian Vettel has previously stated that he would prefer to drive on "real American tracks" rather than a street circuit like Miami. Graham Rahal, who runs an IndyCar team, had previously invited Vettel to test in a car of the American racing class and reminded the driver who will retire from Formula 1 after this year of his offer.

Vettel said around the Miami Grand Prix that he likes a circuit like the Road America much better than the new Florida circuit. IndyCar driver Graham Rahal then invited the four-time world champion for a test via Twitter.

Vettel has recently announced that he will retire from Formula One after this season. Reason for Rahal to remind the German of his proposal again."It’s open anytime he wants to try and maybe he wants to come race, I’m sure we can find a way to do it", Rahal said according to The Race.

More competitive

The American concluded: "I think Seb would find IndyCar a much more relaxed environment, but also more competitive, for sure. And a guy like him, as a racer, I’m sure finishing 10th on back is not fun, particularly coming from the world championships and everything else that he has."
