Pierre Gasly's performance at AlphaTauri is clearly inferior to what he achieved last season. In his home race last weekend, the Frenchman finished no further than twelfth, again missing out on points. The driver does not think there will be a noticeable change in the Hungarian Grand Prix, he told AlphaTauri's press release.

The Formula One drivers are preparing for the last race before the summer break. In Hungary, AlphaTauri logically hopes to end the first half of the season on a high note, but it remains to be seen whether this will actually happen.

Gasly last scored points in Azerbaijan, after which he finished outside the top ten in Canada (fourteenth), England (retiring), Austria (fifteenth) and France (twelfth). The team's eighth place in the Constructors' Championship says it all. Nevertheless, Galsy remains confident.

"We need a bit more time evaluating the new package but there’s obviously a limit to how much we can do in just a few days," says the driver, who is looking forward to the race weekend. "There’s a great atmosphere at the Hungaroring. It always has a very big crowd and when we get back to the city in the evening, the fans are waiting for us at our hotel and they are very excited about the Grand Prix."
