Britain is known for its wet climate and it seems the country is living up to its reputation. There is a good chance that we will get rain during qualifying for the British Grand Prix.

So far, the race weekend at Silverstone has been rather wet. The first free practice session was dominated by showers over the track. During the third free practice, there were also worrying reports from teams that it might rain during the session.

Fortunately for the teams, they could finish FP3 dry, but there is a big chance that qualifying will be a wet affair. The Weather.com forecast for qualifying is 77 percent rain and the temperature only 16 degrees Celsius. Also in the hours afterwards it seems to be wet. Hopefully the audience at Silverstone has brought an umbrella or poncho.

Sunshine at the British GP

Although qualifying will be another test for the drivers, the race itself on Sunday looks set to be dry and sunny. There is only a 24 percent chance of rain tomorrow, with mainly sunshine and a few clouds forecast over the former military base. So if the fans are present in large numbers tomorrow, they can enjoy the race without any worries.
