Haas F1 had a good start to the season, but it went downhill fast after that. In the last five races, no points were scored and that is partly due to reliability problems with the Ferrari engine. The MGU-K often gives up the ghost at the American racing team.

Ferrari's power unit in 2022 is not the most reliable of all, that much is clear. Yet Haas F1 as a customer team is hit harder than the Italian formation itself. Auto, Motor und Sport The German team will come up with a possible explanation this weekend.

Haas F1's VF-22 runs a lot lower than Ferrari and Alfa Romeo cars. The cars of Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher are therefore exposed to stronger shocks during bumps and driving over the kerbs. The MGU-K would have failed each time because of these cases.

Solution near?

That there is a problem is now clear. However, after nine Grands Prix this season, Ferrari have yet to come up with a solution. "The fact that Haas is being hit so often is apparently a mystery to Ferrari. So far there is no solution. At most, there is a suspicion," the German website reads.
