Max Verstappen is speaking during the FIA press conference of the Canadian Grand Prix. The Dutchman further explains his criticism of the FIA's intervention regarding porpoising. The Dutchman briefly meets with Lewis Hamilton.

As Red Bull Racing is little affected by porpoising, Verstappen and Sergio Perez are critical of the FIA's announced intervention. The FIA is going to meet teams that are very affected by the bumpiness and help them to reduce the 'porpoising'.

Verstappen short but powerful

The Red Bull Racing drivers had already made their opinions clear, but during the press conference, the brief conversation between Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton begins. Formule1.nl quotes Verstappen: "You're going to be looking for the limit of what your body can handle, that's obvious. But it's a bit strange that intervention is going to happen now. Just adjust the ride height of your car and then you won't have this problem."

Hamilton, sitting next to Verstappen in front of journalists, responds to his rival from last year: "We'll be driving these cars for a few more years so we really need to do something about it." Russell also said during the press conference at an earlier point that he does understand why Verstappen and Perez are speaking out so much against the FIA's intervention, but he too had no further say in the matter. The problems with the bumpy W13 are too big.

Verstappen not yet satisfied with RB18

Although Red Bull Racing has been going really strong the last few races, Verstappen doesn't sound satisfied yet. After all, the team has also been very lucky in the last few victories. Verstappen is asked if he has confidence after the last few races: "It's not about confidence. We've had a few good races, but it's still a long season. We really need to find something extra because we haven't had enough pole positions. It's much easier when we're up front."
